Junk Science: A Texas Injustice
The use of junk science in the courtroom is truly a Texas-sized injustice. With convictions resulting from the use of dog scent lineups, flawed arson science, and other forms of faulty scientific evidence, our organization has organized a campaign to exonerate those who have suffered wrongful convictions at the hands of these practices. Request Assistance
The Innocence Project of Texas is dedicated to investigating claims of innocence made by inmates and others who have been convicted of crimes they did not commit. If you would like our organization to evaluate your case, please write us a letter. Your letter should include information about the crime of conviction, your contact information, and a description of any evidence that could help to prove your innocence. Once we receive this information in our office, we will evaluate your request and determine whether we can assist you on your case. Our mailing address is:
Innocence Project of Texas
1511 Texas Avenue
Lubbock, Texas 79401
Please note that we do not currently evaluate claims of innocence for those convicted of crimes outside of Texas. If you were wrongfully convicted of a crime in another state, please visit the Innocence Network website (www.innocencenetwork.org) for more information about innocence organizations in your area. We look forward to hearing from you soon! |
